This year marks the 50th Anniversary of the formation of the ASEAN organisation and following the well acknowledged success of their 2015 Forum, ANZBC and AUT University are organising another one this year to mark this important anniversary.
On the time honoured principle that if it ain’t broke don’t fix it, the Forum will follow a similar format to 2015, a full day event with plenary keynote speakers, breakouts on specific topics and ample interaction and networking. A celebratory cocktail event will follow the formalities.
Top business speakers from ASEAN itself have already been commissioned – Dr Sarasin Virapol, Vice President of the hugely influential Thai and global conglomerate, CP Group and Robert MC Yap, Chairman Y3 Technologies, Singapore, leading specialists in Fintech and other IT technology and as a Trustee of University of NSW, an expert on international education opportunities in ASEAN.
The organisers are finalising the programme and a Forum website will be launched soon.
Meantime please diarise Monday 16 October for an event which any ASEAN practitioner shouldn’t miss.
We’ll keep you up to date!
ANZBC with partners Export New Zealand are organising an afternoon seminar (3 to 7.30 p.m.) on doing business with ASEAN in Wellington on Wednesday 15 November.
The event is being organised in association with and as part of the business programme of the Southeast Asia Centre of Asia Pacific Excellence – SEACAPE – and will be held in the Rutherford Campus of Victoria University.
Full details to follow but meantime please block out in your diary.
